  SUPPORTING MEMBERSHIP

Become a Supporting Member
Your annual Membership dues help support the continued activities of the organization and the active Members. Supporting Members receive our bi-monthly newsletter, "The Injector", as well as a 10% discount on gift shop items and invitations to special member-only events. Supporting Members may also volunteer in the operation of our excursions if they wish to do so.

Volunteering
Steam train excursions are run primarily by qualified volunteers from the South Simcoe Railway Heritage Corporation, over the rails of the South Simcoe Railway, a Transport Canada-regulated shortline railway based in Tottenham, Ontario.

Supporting members 16 years of age and older are welcome to come out and join our volunteer forces. Members are involved in all aspects of managing, maintaining and operating the railway's passenger excursions. At the present time, over 25 volunteers work in such diverse areas as:  Administration;  Restoration;  Maintenance;  Train Operations;  Visitor Services; and Marketing. Work parties meet at Tottenham yard every Saturday morning. Come out and introduce yourself, ask for our Membership Secretary, and we'll show you around. It's lots of fun, and you'll be helping keep an important part of Canadian history alive!

Ticket and gift shop sales only cover a portion of the Railway's operating costs, and we rely on supporting memberships and generous contributions to keep our steam train excursions operating. Won't you join us? If you have any questions or would like further information about the Railway, would like to receive a Membership brochure, or would like to know more about volunteering, please e-mail us at membership@southsimcoerailway.ca.
